As general counsel for Pacific Seafood Group, Craig Urness provides strategic management of legal matters, public policy and government affairs for the family-owned seafood company based in Portland , Ore.   With over 15 years of professional experience, Urness oversees human resource policy, public relations, and risk management.

Urness is on the executive committee for Affinity Insurance Group serving as vice chair of underwriting since 2007. He also serves on the board of directors for the Affinity Insurance Group Captive, National Fisheries Institute, Better Seafood Bureau and Northwest Staffing Resources, Inc. He is a member of the executive committee for Northwest Food Processors Association and on the Trawl Individual Quota Ad Hoc Committee for Pacific Fisheries Management Council.

Urness earned his Bachelor of Science degree in business administration and marketing from the University of Oregon , and received his Doctor of Jurisprudence degree and Certificate in Dispute Resolution from Willamette University College of Law and is a member of the Oregon State Bar.
