John Lin
General Manager, Quality Control and Technical Support

Pacific Seafood Group

John Lin serves as quality control and technical support general manager for Pacific Seafood Group, a family-owned seafood company based in Portland , Ore.   With more than 12 years of industry experience, Lin oversees Pacific Seafood’s quality and food safety programs. His contributions to the company include developing state-of-the-art processing technologies for quality improvement.

Lin’s research has been published in the Journal of Food Science, Food Review International and the Journal of Aquatic Food Product Technology. Additionally, he wrote a chapter for the book Surimi, by Jae W. Park, et al.

Lin is a member of the American Association for Advanced Science, Institute of Food Technologists , American Institute of Fishery Research Biologists , International Association of Fish Inspectors, and Association of Food and Drug Officials.  His experience also includes speaking on the Oregon Sea Grant Advisory Panel.

Lin earned a PhD in food science and technology from Oregon State University .
