Pacific Seafood Group Acquires East Coast Seafood of Phoenix  

Acquisition Promotes Growth for Both Companies  

Portland , Ore. – Oct. 29, 2007– Pacific Seafood, a family owned seafood company based in the Western United States , officially acquired Phoenix-based East Coast Seafood, a seafood processing and wholesale company established in 1980. 

“East Coast Seafood has an outstanding presence and reputation, and brings a great team of people to Pacific Seafood,” said Craig Urness, Pacific Seafood general counsel. “This acquisition provides a significant growth opportunity for Pacific Seafood and East Coast Seafood alike.”

The acquisition continues Pacific Seafood’s strategy of selectively growing its distribution footprint in key market areas across the United States . Throughout the transition Pacific Seafood will provide continued support to the newest team members, and Mel Fuller, a proven leader at Pacific Seafood, will act as general manager, leading the development process.

Pacific will continue to operate its newest subsidiary as East Coast Seafood, and customers of East Coast will not experience any interruption in service.
